Terms of use

Last updated: 26 October 2026

By using Busy Child you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

1. What Busy Child is

Busy Child is an independent, online directory that helps parents and carers discover soft play centres and toddler cafés across Essex and Suffolk. It is run by Busy Child Company.

Busy Child is a guide only. It is not a booking service, a ticket agent or a trading platform, and we are not a party to any agreement you make with a venue.

2. Accuracy of information

We make reasonable efforts to keep listings accurate and up to date. Venue details are gathered from publicly available sources, from suggestions submitted through our form and from direct contact with venues.

Information such as prices, opening times, facilities, age ranges and availability can change, sometimes at short notice and without us being told. Listings show the date they were last reviewed so you can see how recent the information is, but a listing may still be out of date. Please confirm the details that matter to you directly with the venue before travelling.

3. Responsibility for venues

Busy Child Company does not own, operate, manage or supervise any of the venues listed. Every venue is a separate business and is solely responsible for its own facilities, services, staff, safety, conduct, bookings, refunds and accessibility.

We do not inspect venues, and we do not recommend, endorse or guarantee any venue. Any relationship you have with a venue — including money you pay them — is strictly between you and that venue.

4. External websites

Listings and pages link to third-party websites, such as a venue’s own site, social media pages and map services. We include these links for convenience only.

We have no control over those websites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability, security or policies. Any dealings you have with a third party found through Busy Child are between you and them.

5. Intellectual property

The Busy Child name and branding, the logo, and the original text, layout and design of this website belong to Busy Child Company and are protected by law. You may browse the site, print or share individual pages for your own personal, non-commercial use.

Venue names, logos and photographs remain the property of their owners. Venue photos shown here are used to help parents recognise a place, based on material made available by or for the venue; please contact us if you believe anything has been used in error and we will put it right.

Please do not copy, reproduce or republish our listings or content in bulk, or use them to build a competing directory, without our written permission.

6. Submitting venues

We welcome suggestions for new places to play. When you submit a venue, please:

  • Provide accurate information to the best of your knowledge, and only about places you believe to be open and operating.
  • Do not submit your own venue for promotional purposes without making that clear in your note — for advertising enquiries, use the Partners page instead.
  • Do not include personal information about children or other individuals, or content that is abusive, defamatory or unlawful.
  • Only submit information you are entitled to share.

We review suggestions and may edit, publish or decline them without giving a reason. Submitting a suggestion does not guarantee that a venue will be listed, and we may remove or amend listings at any time.

7. Limitations of liability

We provide Busy Child on an “as is” basis, for general information only. We do not inspect, supervise or guarantee the safety, security, suitability or standard of any listed venue, and we are not responsible for any injury, loss, expense or inconvenience arising from a visit.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Busy Child Company is not liable for: errors, omissions or out-of-date information in a listing; changes to prices, opening hours or facilities made without notice; the acts or omissions of a venue or any other third party; or loss or damage arising from your use of the site, including through links to other websites.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

As a parent or carer you are responsible for deciding whether a venue is suitable for your child and for supervising your child at all times, and for checking current prices, opening times and facilities directly with the venue before you visit.

Using the site responsibly

Please do not use Busy Child to post, send or store anything unlawful, or interfere with the site. We may block access to anyone who misuses it.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms from time to time; the “last updated” date above shows when we last changed them. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised terms.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Questions about them, or a venue listing, can be sent to busychildcompany@gmail.com.

Our handling of personal information is explained in our privacy policy.
